FAQ


Our mission is to provide gear that meets your needs and lifestyle. That is the reason we offer a 30 day no questions asked, no BS exchange/return policy on all gear purchased directly from Comp-Tac. If the gear does not meet your needs or lifestyle we will exchange it or refund the purchase price of the item (excluding shipping & handling fees).  Please note that we cannot accept exchanges or return on custom items.  Differences on exchanged items will be added or refunded to your original order less the cost of shipping and handling.

Returns


Comp-Tac offers a 30 Day No Questions Asked Return Policy on most products with a refund of the product purchase price (shipping is non-refundable).  
  • Custom Items (Not Available for Return): Colored Kydex, Velcro Lined Belts, Belts Size 50" or Larger, Nexbelts that have been cut.
  • Customers are asked to call customer service at 281-209-3040 to receive a return material authorization number (RMA#). This will help us track and process the return as quickly as possible. Please write the RMA# clearly on the outside of the package. Packages sent to Comp-Tac without a RMA# may incur delays in processing or be refused.
  • If Any Leather Product is damaged and deemed "un-sellable" a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. 
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping fees. Shipping costs of the original order are non-refundable.
  • Customer Can Return In Two Ways:
    • Customer Can Ship Package Per Their Method of Choice
    • Customer Can use the Comp-Tac Return Shipping Label Portal- This will ship the package via UPS Ground. An $8 return shipping label fee will be subtracted from the customers refund. 
  • Comp-Tac recommends using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance when returning an item. Comp-Tac does not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. 
  • If you are outside of the first 30 days of ownership please contact our customer service staff at 281-209-3040.
  • Items purchased from Comp-Tac dealers must be returned to dealer for refund. Comp-Tac cannot refund 3rd party purchases.

Exchanges

  • Customer is responsible for shipping costs to return the item for exchange and the shipping costs to receive the new item. 
  • Customer can send in item for exchange in two ways:
    • Customer Can Ship Package Per Their Method of Choice
    • Customer Can use the Comp-Tac Return Shipping Portal- This will ship the package via UPS Ground. An $8 return shipping label fee will be added to the reshipping fee.
  • Comp-Tac recommends using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance when returning an item. Comp-Tac does not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Warranty


  • Comp-Tac warranties its products for a period of one year from date of purchase. Failures due to defects in materials or construction will be repaired or replaced at Comp-Tac's discretion throughout the warranty period.  The warranty is void in the case of any modification, alteration or abuse of the product by the customer.
  • Customers are asked to call customer service at 281-209-3040 to receive a return material authorization number (RMA#). This will help us track the faulty item, and be able to quickly refit, repair or replace and returned to the customer in a quick and efficient manner. Please write the RMA# clearly on the outside of the package. Warranty packages sent to Comp-Tac without a RMA# may incur delays in processing or be refused.
  • Warranties of implied merchantability or suitability for any purpose do not apply. Responsibility for the choice of product lies solely with the customer. This warranty is not applicable to custom items or shipping charges.  
  • Please contact Comp-Tac Customer Service at 281-209-3040 for a warranty claim. 
  • Products manufactured by other companies, but sold through Comp-Tac, may carry their own warranties and any warranty concerns must be addressed by the manufacturer.  Comp-Tac makes no warranties, implied or expressed, for products manufactured by a third party. 
  • Comp-Tac products purchased from authorized dealers must be returned to the dealer in order for warranty work to be performed.


FAQ

  • To ensure optimum performance of you Comp-Tac Gear, we recommend the following: check the tension screws on a weekly basis or use medium (blue) Loctite to secure them. Wipe the inside of the holster to remove any dust, dirt or debris that could scratch the finish of your handgun. Do not leave gear in car, heat builds in your car and deforms Kydex.
  • Leather is a natural product with unique characteristics that differ from hide to hide. Due to these differences, shade and color variations are to be expected with each belt. A brown belt you order now may not be the exact same shade of brown as a belt you may order a few months from now. This is not a fault or flaw in our leather, only a guarantee that we use genuine natural top-grain leather to make all of our Comp-Tac Kydex Reinforced Contour Leather Belts.
  • If you purchase your Comp-Tac products from an authorized dealer you must register your item within 30 days of purchase by completing the Warranty Registration Card included in the package and mailing it back to Comp-Tac, or by completing the online Warranty Registration form available on the Comp-Tac.com home page.
